Because I like to write, I decided to start my own blog.
Biographical: My foreign ancestry is French. In my very early years I lived in Willow City, ND and attended an all Catholic School and had nuns of French ancestry for teachers. In about 1955 I lived near Dunseith, ND and attended a small country school, then high school nearby. My college degrees are in social sciences and secondary education.
Brenda Wheeler from Rolette, ND is my wife. She is a surgical nurse and works at Jamestown Hospital. We have 3 children, Brent, who is an electrical engineer in Minneapolis, Jacki, who has a business degree and works as an assistant to the county treasurer in Jamestown and Vanessa who is writer and journalist is living at or near Seattle Washington. All can be researched through Google. My wife Brenda passed away on June 1st, 2014 at Jamestown, ND.
Having just started this blog, I'm not certain where it will take me but likely represent will be commentary on readings I have done and my thoughts on life.
I have many favorite sayings but one near the top is "The spoken word perishes, the written word remains." Thus, my own blogspace.
Aime; I enjoy perusing your thought provoking observations of life; and found your Carl Sagan's Blue Dot posting to be an excellent one. Carl Sagan has always entrigued me with his unique ability to peel away the layers of all the ego-superstitional perceptions that we have of ourselves; and just leave us standing raw naked at how insignificant and vunerable we are to the true elements of not only life; but to all the subtle actions and reactions surrounding us as a whole..."Folks, we're just along for the ride".
Thank you Simbu, I noticed you have followed my blog for some time, and for that I'm an encourage human. My older brother, who is near the end of his life has asked me to have this played at his memorial service and to have on his grave stone, a pale blue dot.
I'm sorry about your brother Aime. I do admire his brave approach on facing his unknown. It appears that he feels comfortable, and he should also feel proud that with the proper alignment of matter and elements, he was able to participate and experience this crazy and wonderful phenonenom called life; and in time as his elements re-align themselves, fragments of his participation and experiences will be scattered throughout space (and as Carl would say)...for billions and billions...
